About Us
At Care Concern Group, we’re entering one of the most exciting chapters in our journey. As a family-run organisation with over 130 care homes, and more on the way, we’re continuing to grow while staying true to what matters most - Our people and the quality of care we deliver.

With a respected Chairman, an experienced Board, and strong backing from our investors and partners, we are investing heavily in both our existing homes and future developments. Our portfolio spans across the UK and supports a wide range of care needs, from residential and nursing to dementia and respite care.

As we continue to expand, we are creating our very first Head of Procurement role. A rare opportunity to build, shape, and lead a procurement function from the ground up. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving value, quality, and consistency across an organisation that’s passionate about doing things the right way.

If you’re excited by the chance to make a tangible impact, influence strategic decisions, and introduce best-in-class procurement practices across a growing national group, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role
This is a pivotal senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished procurement professional who can combine strategic vision with practical, results-driven delivery. As our first Head of Procurement, you will shape and implement a group-wide procurement strategy that strengthens value, quality, and consistency across our growing portfolio.

You will lead the full spectrum of procurement activity; from developing long-term sourcing frameworks to managing critical supplier relationships, negotiating high-value contracts, and resolving urgent supply chain challenges with confidence and agility.

With oversight of multi-million-pound spend spanning a broad range of categories, you will ensure our supply base delivers the highest standards of quality, compliance, and resilience - directly supporting the exceptional care experienced by thousands of residents across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Lead the creation and delivery of a group-wide procurement strategy aligned to business priorities.
  •  Oversee the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, contract negotiations, supplier management & performance improvement.
  •  Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement supports operational, financial, and clinical objectives.
  •  Develop and manage strategic supplier partnerships to secure value, innovation, and high service standards.
  •  Drive procurement projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality outcomes, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
  •  Provide senior leadership with clear, data-driven insights through robust reporting and market analysis.
  •  Enhance procurement systems, processes, and tools to support transparency, compliance, and decision-making.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  •  Extensive experience in procurement leadership, with exposure to complex, multi-site organisations. (Working in a healthcare environment would be advantageous)
  •  Demonstrated ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on problem-solving, driving both long-term improvements and day-to-day results.
  •  Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across operational, finance, and clinical teams.
  •  Strong interpersonal abilities and proven success in building trusted relationships at all levels.
  •  Commercially astute and analytically minded, with the capability to interpret data, apply market insights, and make informed, value-driven decisions.
  •  Proficient in procurement systems, MS Office, and ideally experienced with eProcurement tools.
  •  Confident communicator with strong presentation and reporting skills.
  •  Professional procurement qualification (CIPS or equivalent) preferred, alongside a degree or diploma in business, supply chain, or a related field - although extensive relevant experience will be equally considered.

If you’re looking for a role where you can build something lasting, lead with influence, and contribute directly to the quality of care provided across the UK, this is an opportunity to make your mark.

Join us at a defining moment in our journey and help shape the future of procurement within a values-led, growing organisation.
