Location: Birmingham
Job Type: Zero-hour contract - Set shifts OR Bank options available.
Shifts: 12 hour day shifts, 7 days per week.

Role Overview:
We are offering an opportunity for experienced and dedicated Spinal Injury Support Workers to join our new client in Birmingham, working on a 2:1 ratio. Our client is a male in his 20's with a Spinal Injury, who enjoys fitness and keen to find likeminded Support Workers to support him with his rehabilitation. To support their independence and lifestyle, we’re seeking support workers who are confident, empathetic, and capable of building a strong, trusting relationship, with previously Spinal Injury experience. A passion for the gym/keeping fit is a bonus!
- Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
- Catheter Care (Suprapubic) & Bowel Management
- Respiratory Management (cough assist/suctioning)
- Autonomic Dysreflexia Management
- Preparing meals and supporting with nutrition
- Administering medication (training provided)
- Providing emotional support and companionship
- Supporting with mobility and physical activities
- Light housekeeping duties
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience within a similar role, supporting clients with Spinal Injury, catheter care and bowel management
- An interest in fitness/the gym desirable, to support with his rehabilitation.
- A caring and compassionate nature
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A valid UK driving licence essential to drive the WAV during shifts essential.
