Silverleigh is a beautiful, purpose-built care home located in a quiet residential street in the heart of Axminster, Devon. Home to up to 65 residents, we provide high-quality Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care in a warm and inclusive environment where wellbeing and joy are at the centre of daily life.

We are now looking for a friendly, creative and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team. If you love bringing people together, helping others feel valued, and believe in the power of meaningful moments, we would love to hear from you.

What We Offer:

• £12.21 per hour
• Part-time hours available
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform and onsite parking
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

What You Will Do:
Working closely with the Activity Coordinator and care team, you will help plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities that support our residents’ physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. From arts and crafts to outings, music sessions to quiet companionship, your energy and enthusiasm will help make every day meaningful.

You’ll also assist residents with video calls, help them stay connected with loved ones, and ensure all activities are documented in their care plans. Supporting special events and maintaining a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere will be an essential part of your role.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who is kind, confident, and reliable, with great communication and organisational skills. Experience in a care home is welcome but not essential, we’re looking for someone with a warm personality and a genuine passion for enhancing lives. A full driving licence is desirable.
