About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly meticulous and experienced Financial Accountant to join our team on a part time, 6-month fixed term contract.

You will have full ownership of the month end process of three entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. 

You will prepare accurate financial statements and reports, oversee month-end and year-end closing processes and maintain robust financial systems.

The successful Financial Accountant will work closely with senior management and various departments to analyse financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement. You will also participate in budget preparation, cashflow forecasting, and entity performance reporting.

This role is offering 20-30 hours per week across 3-4 days, flexibility is required during month end.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented accountant who is looking to balance work with other commitments.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with relevant experience in financial accounting.
  • Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Proven experience in preparing financial statements and reports.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software’s.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
