Silverleigh is a beautiful care home situated in the heart of Axminster, Devon, tucked away on a quiet street yet part of a thriving local community. Our home provides high-quality care and support for up to 65 residents in a warm and welcoming environment.

We are now seeking a Domestic/Laundry Assistant to join our friendly team. In this vital role, you will ensure our home is always clean, safe, and welcoming, while providing efficient laundry services that help residents feel comfortable and cared for.

Your Role
As a Domestic/Laundry Assistant, you will play an essential part in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the home. You will carry out regular cleaning of rooms, communal areas, furniture, and fixtures, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for everyone.

You will also manage laundry services, carefully labelling and caring for residents’ clothing and personal items, ensuring everything is returned in excellent condition. Your attention to detail will help maintain a homely atmosphere where residents feel respected and valued.

Working closely with the rest of the team, you will follow infection prevention, health and safety, and fire safety protocols to keep residents and colleagues safe.

We are looking for someone reliable, organised, and committed to maintaining high standards. Previous experience in a cleaning or laundry role is desirable but not essential — what matters most is your positive attitude, teamwork, and pride in a job well done.
