Lead with Compassion at a Specialist Dementia and Mental Health Care Home

Our care home provides high-quality, specialist care for up to 75 residents living with dementia and mental health conditions. We believe in creating a nurturing, inclusive community where each resident is valued, supported, and respected.

We are now looking for a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) who shares our passion for outstanding care. If you are dedicated, compassionate, and ready to make a genuine difference in the lives of others, we would love to hear from you.

What we offer:

  • £20.80 per hour
  • Paid NMC registration
  • Contracted to 40.25 hours per week (dayshift)
  • Pension scheme
  • Onsite parking
  • Paid DBS
  • Uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks’ annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

What you will do:

  • Craft personalised care plans – Collaborate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to create tailored care plans that reflect each person’s unique needs
  • Ensure accuracy – Record daily care and observations with precision, ensuring clear and legal documentation
  • Lead with confidence – Organise and guide your team at the start of every shift, promoting a positive and focused working environment
  • Support smooth transitions – Lead effective shift handovers and maintain continuity of care
  • Monitor health – Conduct regular observations and address individual healthcare needs with care and attention
  • Administer medications – Follow MAR charts and protocols to safely administer medications
  • Build relationships – Develop strong, trust-based relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Promote independence – Support residents in daily activities, fostering independence wherever possible
  • Act on feedback – Respond to concerns and suggestions to ensure the best possible outcomes for residents
  • Champion dignity and respect – Uphold each resident’s right to be treated with compassion, understanding, and dignity
  • Encourage engagement – Facilitate social interaction and activities to support a vibrant, welcoming community
  • Prioritise safety – Ensure a safe environment for residents and staff at all times
  • Support nutrition – Monitor hydration and nutrition needs, particularly for residents at risk
  • Respond to emergencies – Be prepared to act quickly and effectively when needed, using reflective practice to continuously improve

What we’re looking for:

  • A Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN
  • Previous care home experience is an advantage, but not essential – we value passion, empathy, and a desire to grow
  • A calm, caring nature and the ability to build genuine connections with residents, families, and team members
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach to care

About us:
Our care home is part of Care Concern Group, a family-owned, market-leading care provider with close to 100 care homes across the UK. We are committed to providing exceptional care and creating supportive environments where both residents and staff thrive.

Our values – Trust, Respect, Passion, Kindness, Inclusivity – guide everything we do. If you live by these values and want to join a team where your contribution matters, this is the place for you.

Apply today and become a valued part of a home where compassion and quality care go hand in hand.
