About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to take full operational and commercial responsibility for Sandmere Care Home, a purpose-built, 68-bed residential and nursing service in the heart of Margate. With light-filled communal spaces, luxury en-suite bedrooms, and weekly fees averaging £1,400, Sandmere offers premium living for older people, including those requiring nursing, dementia, and complex care.

With an outstanding 9.9/10 carehome.co.uk score, a loyal long-standing team, and absolutely no agency reliance, the foundations are strong. What we need now is a hands-on, ambitious leader to drive occupancy from its current 26% to full potential and beyond.

What You’ll Bring

•  A strong, visible leadership style that inspires trust, confidence, and motivation across staff, residents, and stakeholders.
•  Ideally Nurse qualified with a current NMC pin.
•  Experience in commissioning or turnaround - you know how to grow occupancy in a private-pay market.
•  Commercially astute with strong budget management, marketing, and compliance expertise.
•  A confident, approachable presence that combines warmth with decisive management.
