Located in the picturesque seaside town of Largs, our brand-new, purpose-built home offers luxury living with exceptional residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care for 80 residents.

We are seeking a passionate and creative Activities Coordinator to join our brand-new, purpose-built care home in the picturesque seaside town of Largs. This state-of-the-art facility will provide exceptional residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care for up to 80 residents.

As part of our close-knit care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents’ days are filled with joy, variety, and meaningful engagement. You’ll be at the heart of shaping an environment where our residents are encouraged to stay active, make connections, and enjoy fulfilling activities that improve their wellbeing.

What We Offer

  • £12.70 per hour
  • 37.5 hours per week (5 days over 7, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Paid PVG, uniform provided, free onsite parking
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

What You Will Do

  • Plan and Organize: Develop and manage engaging monthly rolling programmes, as well as individual activities that cater to residents’ diverse needs and interests.
  • Foster Social Connections: Encourage socialization and participation in group activities, helping residents to build meaningful relationships with others.
  • Record and Monitor: Maintain detailed records of all activities, including any feedback from residents and staff, ensuring accurate documentation of resident engagement.
  • Provide Personalized Support: Tailor activities to meet the individual needs and preferences of our residents, considering their care requirements from dementia to nursing care.
  • Work Collaboratively: Collaborate closely with the care team to ensure activities align with residents' care plans and provide holistic support.

What We’re Looking For

  • Event Planning Skills: Proven ability to plan, organize, and deliver a variety of engaging activities.
  • Creativity and Confidence: A friendly, confident personality with a flair for creating fun and stimulating experiences.
  • Passion for Elderly Care: A genuine passion for working with the elderly, helping them live life to the fullest.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work well both independently and within a team.
  • Ideally, experience in a care home setting, but we welcome applicants with a flair for creativity and an enthusiasm for making a difference.
