Registered Nurse (RN Adult)

A new opportunity is here for a Registered Nurse (RN Adult) to join an outstanding palliative care team in Ashford, Kent.

A long-standing local charity, the team offers holistic healthcare, practical and emotional support to people with life-limiting conditions and their loved ones, fully centred around patient preferences and their wishes for the future.

You’ll be joining the inpatient MDT at the hospice itself: a purpose-built, modern unit with a focus on privacy and comfort.

You’ll take part in round-the-clock clinical care that safely and effectively manages pain and complex symptoms, supports wellbeing, and optimises quality of life for patients who are having difficulty managing their symptoms at home.

Previous palliative/end-of-life experience is not required for this role.

You’ll be able to access an extensive range of learning opportunities and resources for your CPD as well; the hospice contributes to education and research initiatives that shape best practice within the field and enjoys close links with academic and other partners for this purpose.

This is a permanent position for a Registered Nurse (RN Adult), with options available for full-time or part-time.

Person specification:

• (Essential) Registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse (RN Adult)

• (Essential) An interest in high-quality palliative and EOL care

• (Desirable) Some previous experience in a palliative care environment
