Role: Care Assistant
Location: 7-9 Neville Avenue, Hampden Park, Eastbourne, East Sussex, BN22 9PR
Salary: £12.81-£13.13 per hour
Hours: Bank Hours, working on a rota including weekends and public holidays - Shifts are from either 8am until 8pm for days & 8pm-8am for nights
In this rewarding role, you’ll work individually and as part of a supportive team to deliver the highest standards of care and companionship to our residents.
What you’ll be doing:
- Checking on residents throughout the day and night to ensure their wellbeing and comfort
- Providing personal care with kindness and respect, supporting residents with daily activities while encouraging their independence
- Helping residents maintain their dignity and self-esteem through patient, compassionate care
- Contributing to care plans by working alongside residents and their families or representatives
- Supporting residents to take part in wellbeing and social activities both inside and outside the home
- Building positive, trusting relationships with residents, families, and your team
What you’ll bring:
- A professional, reliable, and flexible approach to your work
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A respectful, courteous, patient, and compassionate manner at all times
- Ideally, a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
