Cedar Lodge and The Limes Dementia Care Home is nestled on the peaceful outskirts of Taunton, Somerset, overlooking a beautiful park. Thoughtfully designed for dementia care, it provides a supportive and homely environment for up to 42 residents.

We are now seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to join our friendly team. In this role, you will help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where our residents can feel comfortable and cared for. Your attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness will make a real difference every day.

What We Offer

• £12.21 per hour
• Contracted to 37.5 hours per week
• Pension scheme, paid DBS, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

What You Will Do
You will carry out daily cleaning and laundry duties to ensure all areas of the home are maintained to a high standard. This includes cleaning residents’ rooms, communal spaces, and sanitary areas, as well as handling laundry with care and ensuring personal items are returned promptly.

You will follow infection control and health and safety procedures, manage waste disposal appropriately, and work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe, hygienic, and comfortable home environment.

Your role is essential in helping residents feel settled and cared for, and in supporting the overall smooth running of the home.

What We’re Looking For

• A reliable and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work
• The ability to follow procedures and maintain excellent hygiene standards
• A friendly, positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork
• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is desirable but not essential
