La Fontana Dementia Nursing Home is nestled on the outskirts of Martock, surrounded by the stunning Somerset countryside. This innovative, purpose-built home provides specialist Dementia and Nursing care for up to 76 residents.

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team, delivering both clinical excellence and holistic care. In this role, you will lead, mentor, and support your team, ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care in a warm and supportive environment.

What You Will Do
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in providing outstanding care and leading your team. You will craft personalised care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring that each individual receives care tailored to their needs. You will oversee daily observations, monitor health conditions, administer medications safely, and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.

You will lead your team each shift, ensuring everyone knows their responsibilities and that care delivery is seamless. Supporting residents’ independence, dignity, and wellbeing will be at the heart of your role, along with fostering strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues. You will also respond to emergencies, promote a safe environment, and facilitate social engagement and activities that enrich residents’ lives.

About You
You are a Registered General or Mental Health Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN. You are passionate about providing high-quality care, with the ability to connect naturally with residents, families, and colleagues. Strong communication, empathy, and leadership skills are essential, as is a calm, patient, and professional approach in every situation. Previous care home experience is desirable but not essential.
