We have an excellent opportunity for a female support worker to work alongside our client in Clydach, Swansea

Our client is a young lady in her teens who has complex needs, including cerebral palsy, mobility assistance, mickey care and medication.

Due to the client's support needs and preference the successful candidate will need to be female, have a full UK driving licence, have some experience working with complex needs/cerebral palsy and possess the softer skills of being a clear communicator with the motivation and ability to engage the client to build a solid, supporting relationship.

Pay: £15.00 - £16.00 per hour

Hours: 40 per week over five days days (06:45 - 16:30 or 15:00 - 22:15, requires care seven days a week so we can be flexible on what days)

Key Responsibilities:

The Libertatem Healthcare Group (part of Sonderwell) was established to provide the very best levels of care and support for clients who have sustained personal injuries or suffered from medical negligence. Operating on a national basis, we provide our clients with care and support wherever they are located. Our packages put our client’s independence at the very centre of everything we do.

  • Supporting, and engaging with personalised routines inclusive of hoists.
  • Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility.
  • Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
  • Providing emotional support and companionship.
  • Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions.
  • Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for working with people and providing care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
  • Reliability, commitment, and flexibility.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
  • To be able to deal with challenging behaviours.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
