Are you a naturally caring experienced Healthcare Assistant in the UK, looking for your career to be fulfilling, where you’re valued, recognised and supported?

Join the team at Thornford Park Hospital in Thatcham, Berkshire as a Healthcare Assistant and experience what delivering great healthcare should feel like.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you’ll bring empathy, patience, and resilience to a secure Mental Health setting, along with strong communication skills, emotional awareness, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. It can be challenging at times, but your positive attitude, adaptability, and commitment to delivering person-centred care will be key to succeeding in this role. Experience in mental health is beneficial, as Thornford Park provides medium and low secure forensic services, PICU care, and specialist pathways for Mental Health illness, Personality Disorders, Learning Disabilities, and Autism.

You’ll work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team, using your skills to help individuals progress along their recovery journey. As you grow in your role, you’ll have the opportunity to work across multiple wards and services and pursue qualifications in health and social care.

We offer a comprehensive three-week induction to help you thrive from day one.

The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week including nights and weekends.

Thornford Park is easily accessible via Thatcham train station, with shuttle transport available.

What You Will Be Doing:
