This is more than a job. It’s a rare opportunity to shape a new care home from the ground up, to lead a team, build a culture, and create a place where residents truly feel at home.
Our new 58-bed service, currently under development at 223 Anniesland Road, will open its doors in Q4 2025. Designed with luxury, comfort, and community at its core, the home will provide specialist care for older adults living with frailty, dementia, or approaching end of life. (Please note: the home is yet to be officially named.)

Role: Commissioning Home Manager
Location: 223 Anniesland Road, Glasgow, G13 1RP

  • Generous Bonus up to 40% of salary.
  • Generous holiday allowance, pension, uniform, ongoing CPD.

As our Commissioning Home Manager, you’ll be at the helm of launching and leading this exceptional new service. From recruiting your team to registering the home, from occupancy-building to embedding a culture of excellence you’ll be trusted to put your own stamp on every aspect. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to create something special, with the full backing of a successful and stable care group that values your autonomy and expertise.

Key responsibilities:
Build Occupancy: Create and lead a strong local marketing strategy to build the home’s reputation and resident base
Recruit Your Team: Phase recruitment to reduce agency use and foster a consistent, values-led culture
Achieve Financial Goals: Manage budget and performance to deliver strong financial results
Lead Registration: Manage all regulatory registration and compliance processes
Set the Culture: Embed exceptional care standards, HR systems, training, and governance
Deliver Excellence: Ensure the home meets and exceeds CI expectations from day one

Your role:
As the Registered Home Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for the safe, effective, and high-quality running of the home, from pre-opening through to full occupancy and beyond. You’ll build and inspire a new team, create a warm and inclusive culture, and set the clinical and operational standards that will define our service.
You’ll work closely with our commissioning and operations teams to ensure a smooth launch and a strong reputation within the local community. With your leadership, we’ll open not just a new building, but a home full of heart, purpose, and trust.
What you’ll bring:

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a successful Home Manager
  • Preferably experience in commissioning a new home
  • NMC registration (RGN or RMN) is desirable
  • A passion for high-quality care and the ability to lead from the front
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and care governance
  • A calm, collaborative approach and excellent people skills

Why join this region?
You’ll be part of a high-performing region led by a Regional Director who began their own journey here as a Regional Support Manager, a brilliant example of how we grow talent from within. This leadership transition followed the promotion of the former RD to Integration Director, a testament to our culture of recognition and internal progression.
Here’s what you’ll be joining:

  • A region of 9 care homes with over 600 beds.
  • Zero Home Manager vacancies across the region or group, team stability at its best.
  • An impressive 2% agency use across total working hours.
  • All homes rated 4 or above by the Care Inspectorate.
  • A commissioning team that’s already delivered Mearns View and Boclair in recent years, ensuring you’ll be supported by people who know what success looks like.
