Contract: Full Time

Our purpose-built care home in Walsall provides high-quality specialist care for 59 residents.
We’re looking for a special person who truly believes in bringing joy and sunshine into our residents’ lives every day. With a genuine passion for the older generation, we’re seeking someone who is sociable, creative, fun-loving, and above all well-organised. Caring for our residents is at the heart of our home, but looking after someone’s wellbeing in their next chapter of life goes far beyond watching TV or playing Bingo. Driven by our team of Activities Coordinators, you will help ensure that our residents’ days are filled with fun, variety, and stimulation.
Being able to build rapport with residents and get to know their preferences is key to success in this role, while being inclusive of their individual needs, which range from low-level support through to dementia and nursing care. Experience in a care home is not a prerequisite – we are simply looking for someone who sparkles and enjoys making a real difference.
What We Offer
- £12.21 per hour
- Full time, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Pension scheme
- Onsite parking
- Paid DBS
- Uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
What You Will Do
You will plan and organise engaging activities for residents, creating monthly programmes as well as individual sessions to encourage participation and maintain hobbies. You will help residents socialise, enjoy their time, and foster meaningful connections. Maintaining accurate records of daily activities and participation will also be an important part of your role, ensuring that each resident’s experiences are documented and valued.
What You Will Bring
- Proven ability to develop and organise a range of engaging events and activities
- A friendly, creative, and confident personality
- A genuine passion for working with the elderly and enhancing their quality of life
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
