The Lodge is a charming detached home in Langport, set beside Immacolata House and surrounded by beautiful Somerset countryside. We provide personalised support for adults with learning disabilities in a warm, relaxed, and homely environment.
We are looking for a caring and reliable Support Worker to join our small and supportive team. You do not need experience to apply if you have the right values and a willingness to learn.
What We Offer
- £12.21 per hour
- 36.75 hours per week available (three 11.5 hour shifts) or zero hours Bank contract
- Additional £2 per hour overtime
- Pension

- Onsite parking
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
What You Will Do
As a Support Worker, you will help residents with daily routines while encouraging independence and choice. You will support with personal care, meals, activities, social interaction, and maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment. Your approach will be patient, respectful, and focused on promoting dignity, wellbeing, and confidence.
What We Are Looking For
- A kind, calm, and caring approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability and a genuine interest in supporting others
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is preferred or willingness to work towards it
- Experience in care is helpful but not essential as full training will be provided
