Harrier Grange Care Home is a modern, purpose-built private care facility in Andover, Hampshire, providing high-quality Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 66 residents in a warm and welcoming environment.
We are now looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our hospitality team. If you are organised, hard-working, and take pride in supporting a smooth-running kitchen, we would love to hear from you.
What We Offer:
- £12.21 per hour (Monday to Friday)
- 50p/hour weekend enhancement
- Contracted to 40 hours per week
- Paid DBS, pension, free uniform and onsite parking
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
What You Will Do:
You will assist the Chef and wider kitchen team with food preparation, maintain hygiene and cleanliness across the kitchen, and ensure all deliveries and stock are managed safely. You’ll play an important role in ensuring mealtimes are a highlight of each resident’s day.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting meal preparation to a high standard
- Ensuring the kitchen is clean, tidy and safe at all times
- Checking, storing, and rotating deliveries
- Following food hygiene and health and safety procedures
- Working as part of a team to ensure a smooth meal service
What We’re Looking For:
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Basic food hygiene knowledge is helpful (training can be provided)
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is an advantage, but not essential
