Thornfield Care Home is situated on the outskirts of the lovely seaside town of Seaton which is located on the world-famous Jurassic Coast. Thornfield Care Home is registered for 52 residents.

A role that puts heart into every day!

If you’re someone who finds purpose in helping others feel safe, respected, and valued we’d love to welcome you to our care team. At Thornfield Care Home, just outside the seaside town of Seaton, we’re proud to provide personalised care to up to 52 residents and we’re looking for kind, reliable Care Assistants to help us make every day a little brighter. Whether you’re supporting someone to start their day with confidence, sharing a chat over lunch, or simply being there when they need a hand – you’ll be doing something that truly matters.

What’s we offer:

  •  £12.21 per hour
  •  Flexible Full-Time or Part-Time contract
  •  5.6 weeks annual leave (based on full-time)
  •  Paid DBS
  •  Pension scheme
  •  Uniform provided
  •  Free onsite parking

*Ongoing development from a supportive management team.

What you’ll be doing:
This is a people-first role where every task, no matter how small, has meaning. You’ll help residents with their daily routines – dressing, eating, staying active – while always promoting dignity, independence, and choice.

You’ll get to know people as individuals, follow their care plans, and support their health and wellbeing with empathy and attention. You’ll also work closely with nurses, housekeepers, and kitchen staff to make sure residents’ needs are met in a joined-up, respectful way.
Whether you’re offering reassurance after a difficult night’s sleep or encouraging someone to join in a game or conversation, your kindness will make all the difference.

What we’re looking for:
You might already have experience in care or you might be looking to bring your values and transferable skills into a brand-new chapter. Either way, we’re here to support you.

We’re especially keen to hear from people who:

  •  Have an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent (or are working towards it).
  •  Have 6+ months’ experience as a Care Assistant – though this isn’t essential.
  •  Understand the importance of teamwork, clear communication, and compassionate support.
  •  Believe in treating people with the same kindness and respect you’d want for your own loved ones.

A home where you’ll feel valued:
Thornfield Care Home is part of Care Concern Group, a family-run care provider with over 100 homes across the UK. We believe in delivering care to the highest standard, and our five core values guide everything we do:

Trust | Respect | Passion | Kindness | Inclusivity

These values define who we are and underpin everything we do, from the smallest interaction to the most complex care. If you live by these principles, this is a place where you can belong and truly make a difference.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your care career and lead with purpose, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now and help us build something extraordinary, one resident and one team member at a time.
