Are you passionate about ensuring that people in care have a voice? If so, join The Spinney Hospital, a 97 bedded all-male unit offering comprehensive services for forensic inpatients.
As the Recovery and Patient Engagement Co- Ordinator you will ensure that all service users voices are heard and you will be supporting service users to be actively involved in wide ranging areas of practice relating to The Spinney.

You will support The Spinney in demonstrating commitment to the recovery of the people they support by positively promoting mental health recovery. Working with various MDT members as well as external stakeholders and organisations, you will be leading on co-production, coordinating and leading on the running of the Patient’s Council, coordinating and leading on service user initiatives and promote the overall co-production strategy.

As the Recovery and Patient Engagement Co-ordinator your responsibilities will include:

Leading and organising patient council meetings, patient initiatives in line with co production and identifying projects
Regularly attend community meetings, reviewing themes and trends to feedback to governance meetings.
Review and reflect on personal practice and performance through participation in established supervision and appraisal system.
Promote the role of co-production with service users, family and friends and external agencies who engage with the multi-disciplinary team.
Building relationships and establishing communication networks with patients as well as internal and external stake holders and organisations.
To be successful as Recovery and Patient Engagement Co-ordinator you will:

Where you will be working:

Location: Everest Road, Atherton, Manchester, M46 9NT

You will be working at The Spinney, a service which offer a range of care settings for male patients with personality disorder and/or mental illness. The purpose-built medium, low secure and rehabilitation wards, as well as a psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) are all set within an 11 acre site with extensive woodland and landscaped areas.
