Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Nursery Manager to join their bright, homely, and welcoming nursery; It provides high-quality early years education with a strong focus on the Montessori approach. Set within a warm and supportive environment, the nursery offers a large outdoor area for physical play and an engaging outdoor classroom that encourages children's natural curiosity and desire to learn.
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the nursery, working closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure high standards of care and education for children.

Experience and Qualifications
- Qualification: A minimum of a Level 3 Early Years Qualification
- Framework Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within a nursery or early years setting
- Activity Planning Skills: Demonstrated success in planning, implementing, and assessing activities that support children's individual developmental needs.
- Communication Abilities: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
- Passion for Child Development: A compassionate, approachable personality with a genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Support: Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing staff performance, ensuring the team feels supported and motivated, and stepping into the manager's role when needed.
- Child-Centred Care: Work with staff to create a nurturing environment that follows Montessori principles, supporting children's development through hands-on, engaging activities.
- Curriculum Development: Help design and implement age-appropriate, Montessori-inspired learning activities that encourage curiosity, independence, and creativity.
- Parental Engagement: Build positive relationships with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and ensuring their involvement in their child's learning experience.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all nursery practices adhere to health, safety, and safeguarding regulations, and maintain up-to-date documentation as required by local authorities and company policies.
