Nursery Room Leader - Level 3

Salary: Up to £28,500
40 hours per week


As a Nursery Room Leader, you will be pivotal in implementing the Montessori philosophy and curriculum while providing hands-on, engaging experiences that support each child's unique development.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Experience: Previous experience working as a nursery teacher or room leader, with a deep understanding of early childhood development and Montessori principles.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with OFSTED guidelines and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to ensure compliance with the highest standards of care and education.
  • Personal Traits: Patience, adaptability, and a nurturing approach to teaching. A strong commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments and meeting the individual needs of all children.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Montessori Activities: Guide age-appropriate Montessori activities and lessons that promote self-motivation, independence, and active learning, adhering to Montessori principles as well as OFSTED and EYFS standards.
  • Create an Inspiring Learning Environment: Lead the organization of a well-maintained, inviting classroom and ensure the outdoor courtyard is a secure, stimulating space where children can explore and engage with nature. Plan daily indoor and outdoor activities to enhance learning through play.
  • Support Child Development: Observe, assess, and provide individualised support to foster self-confidence, curiosity, and emotional growth. Encourage children's exploration and learning at their own pace.
  • Promote Inclusivity: Cultivate a positive, respectful, and supportive classroom where every child feels valued. Use differentiated instruction to cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of children, ensuring an inclusive environment.
  • Work Collaboratively: Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers by keeping them informed of their child's progress. Collaborate with fellow educators to maintain an inclusive nursery community, working together to support children's social, emotional, and academic growth.
