Our client is looking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Nursery Teacher to join their Early Years team. As a Montessori Teacher you will play a pivotal role in implementing the Montessori philosophy and curriculum, fostering a nurturing and safe atmosphere where children can thrive and learn

The nursery is dedicated to providing a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for young children to learn and grow. One of the key features of the nursery is its specially landscaped outdoor courtyard, designed to offer a secure and stimulating space for children to explore, play, and learn. Children have the opportunity to take part in a variety of age-specific activities, designed to nurture their development while allowing them to interact with their environment in a hands-on, fun way.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Level 3 in Early Years and a recognised Montessori qualification
  • Nursery Teaching Experience: Previous experience as a nursery teacher, with a strong understanding of early childhood development and effective teaching strategies.
  • Knowledge of OFSTED and EYFS: Familiarity with OFSTED guidelines and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to ensure compliance and high standards of care.
  • Adaptability and Patience: A nurturing, patient, and empathetic teaching approach, with the ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement Montessori Philosophy: Lead age-appropriate Montessori activities and lessons that promote independence, engagement, and self-motivation, aligning with Montessori principles, OFSTED, and EYFS standards.
  • Create a Safe and Stimulating Learning Environment: Establish and maintain an organized, inviting classroom, including the secure, creatively landscaped outdoor courtyard. Incorporate daily indoor and outdoor activities (weather permitting) to enhance learning through exploration and play.
  • Support Student Development: Observe and guide individual students in their growth, using a nurturing and empathetic approach to foster self-confidence and curiosity.
  • Foster Inclusivity and Respect: Cultivate a supportive, respectful learning environment where all children feel valued, adapting instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and promoting equity within the classroom.
  • Collaborate with Families and Colleagues: Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about children's progress and well-being. Work closely with colleagues to build an inclusive school community that supports children's social, emotional, and academic development.
