Senior Healthcare Assistant (Night Shifts)

Full-time - Permanent (Nights)

£13 per hour

We are on the lookout for a caring and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our client's awesome team at an award-winning care home. The place has a nurse call system and offers flexible lengths of stay, providing top-notch care and support to elderly residents during night shifts. As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in looking after the physical and emotional well-being of our residents while creating a supportive and inclusive environment.

Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or a similar qualification
  • Proven experience in elderly care, preferably in a senior healthcare assistant role
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and infection control practices
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with a caring and patient-centred approach
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Empathy, respect, and a commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in all aspects of care

Responsibilities
  • Giving top-notch personal care and assistance to elderly residents during night shifts
  • Making sure medication is given and healthcare protocols are followed
  • Getting residents involved in various activities to boost social interaction and mental well-being
  • Working closely with the healthcare team to create and put into action individual care plans
  • Keeping an eye on and reporting any changes in residents' health or behavior to the right medical staff
  • Keeping accurate and detailed records of residents' care and progress
  • Creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for residents and colleagues
  • Adhering to the highest standards of confidentiality, ethics, and professionalism
